Hola! Let's play catch up ;] Within the past couple of weeks I must say I definitely kept my New Year's resolution, as general as it may be.... (BTW- my resolution being, Not to be Lazy) And as much as it's been fun, it's been tiresome as well! There's def More hanging out with friends and family > Being a homebody and staying in. Sibling Rivalry

Painted the town red one Friday night and enjoyed the company of my brother and cousins. Funny, as we were leaving we decided to take pictures and saw how different the personalities of our families run. Totally sucked that Halloween landed on a Monday this year, but whaddayaaknow it all worked out! I needed two costumes this year and was lucky enough to make one and find one for a steal just a couple days before (score!!).

I thought to do Rosie the Riveter as my DIY costume, it's somewhat original and pretty easy to do given the appropriate pieces (oh and swag too ;])

Got a visit from a fellow blogger (and cousin!). Funny as soon as we saw each other, we did the up and down look to each other! Guess, great minds do think alike ;D We were both wearing maxi skirts and gray tanks! -Need I add how I think tanks are such a necessity in any wardrobe. To some random person, this outfit may seem indecisive with my mix/match of floral and striped patterns... but honestly I LOVE it this way! I wore this skirt on a previous post and honestly never thought to put it together with this top. I simply chose it for being high waisted so that I could tuck in the shirt. Anywhoo, glad it worked out ;]

Can't lie, as much as I would loveeee to be a foodie and share with you all an adventure of food and me saying I know this and that about whatever... I can't. Don't get me wrong I love to eat just as much as the next person, but would be just as happy with some brunch laced out with some mimosas. Anywhoo, heard the hype about Umami burgers and thought to try it out!

Went to Umami burger in LA, and gotta say.. it's definitely as good as everyone says (esp. their fries)! I'm glad they have one in SF now :]

Go figure, gave the boy tickets for his birthday in May to go to Six Flags Magic Mountain and we recently just used it! Gotta say, time has not been on our side lately! Anywhoo, this was my first time at Six Flags in Valencia. It was always one of those places I passed by on a road trip to LA and wondered if I'd ever actually go. Honestly, I'm not much of a fan of a ride that will scare you (why would you pay for anything to scare yourself?!).

BUT... it was actually... really fun!

I knew the day would consist of lots of walking and heat so I had to dress accordingly. Got the shorts from a new vintage store I visited a while back and a simple tank to stay breezey, sandals to walk around all day and I was set!

My Day of Food:
Let me just recap how my Saturday was. Well it def consisted of food, food... and more food! Bought a healthy breakfast for the family (need I mention that curly fries were involved!) Finally hit up OTG and got some Indian yumminess from a truck! Dessert which of course was ice cream and at the infamous Humphrey Slocombe! And for dinner to top it all off Popeyes Fried Chicken!! (not shown) I think I treated myself wayy too good that day! ;]

Down in SD we hit up the Ocean Beach area, totally cool! With all the little shops and bars and restaurants I can see how it's a crackin area for San Diegans. Waited in this pretty long line for a spot called Hodad's, and honestly... the food was def worth it! I ordered the deceiving "Mini" Bacon Cheeseburger, which totally wasn't so mini and didn't get to finish it! Glad I was wearing a Maxi Dress I borrowed from my Sissy- In- Law because I needed the extra room for my full belly to breathe!

I usually use an overbearingly too- big- for my own oversized large purse (which usually gets mistaken as a hand carry, or laughed at with how it's comparable to my petite size). Le sighhh... this weather and all these natural disasters can really bring a girl down! I haven't mentioned it, but I am extremely devastated and praying for all those affected by everything that's happening all around the world.
"Can't we all just get along??..."
Well, aside from all that.... its finally Friday!! Things I've thought about on this over cast gray day.

- I miss getting my nails done
(But then again, I hate when my nails get all brittle and messed up from the acrylic)
- I miss dressing up for Spring and getting ready for Summer
(I've been layering and stuck in tights/ minis/ boots/ jeans and sweaters for wayyyy too long)
- I don't really have anything really planned this weekend...
(Hopefully that doesn't mean I won't have any outfits to share with you all!... we shall see!)

Who wouldn't want some ice cream on a chilly night in San Francisco?! Heard a lot about this Bi- Rite Creamery especially because a lot of people were saying how comparable it was to Mitchell's Ice Cream so definitely had to try it!
My Verdict: Mitchell's FTW!!
Maybe it's because I love Mitchell's KahluaMochaCream oh so very much that brought me to my decision... I don't know! But I did try Bi- Rite's SaltedCaramel and Ricanelas and both we're still pretty darned good!

Soooo it was date night yet again! Went to Darla's Diner located at the Inner Sunset of SF, can I just tell you how E X C I T E D I was?! Let me break down why I was so overly excited to go. Darla's Diner was the restaurant based off of my fave game in the world, DINER DASH! (Yes, I'm L7- Square!! haha) Anywhooo, ever since I got my hands on this game I've been wanting to eat at the place that started it all! Unluckily, Darla wasn't there and they're actually gonna close the restaurant ;[ But at least I was able to try it before they closed ;]

1. I need to get rid of these extensions.
2. My bf could possibly be right.
1- My hair color and the extensions are no longer matching and I seem to have given even my fake hair split ends! (wtf, i know right?!)
2- He hates my vest while I love it! It's a sample so no one has it, it's leather so the material is nice AND for $2 from the Bebe Sample Sale, you can't go wrong! So for this week's FridaDate Night New Restaurant we decided to hit up a new restaurant, JACK'S. It was recommended to us by my BFF/ FutureNurseToBe Vic, she also recommended the Mac and Cheese... super yummerz!! Yaay! Happy Birthday to Little Ol' Me! The first night of fun was with my family, and what better way to start it off than with some Sake Bombs! We went to Miyake's, Palo Alto. Honestly, the food is alright... but the atmosphere is definitely worth it and the reason why people go here!
