Pep in my step

I must admit, I'm a bit late to the Peplum Party. It was a style I seemed to be hesitant of from the get go. I didn't understand how there was a skirt like poof in the middle of my body as opposed to on my legs as a skirt. But after some time and some inspiration, it all sunk in. And after I was given this very lovely peplum top, it got me thinking otherwise.
This trimmed Ponte Peplum top from AX has definitely got me changing my mind. With the two tone textures the fit, and the versatility of this piece I def felt that pep in my step.

  17. For many people around the world, fashion means just one thing, “Style”. Students in fashion Design create their own concept as it will be showcased on a fashion design exhibit where Top designers served as “critics,” providing soon to be stylist the chance to develop skills in design. Learning the Fundamentals of Design is one of the key components to become a Professional Designer, I myself worked hard to learn the basics but not in fashion because my focus was in Graphics Design and Engineering.

Fashion Design is similar to Graphics Design. By comparing these two related technologies, both have common denominator. Everything starts with a Creative Vision as a design is being conceptualized and this is how professional designers do their work.

  18. In my own opinion, there is no formal education or certification required to become a successful fashion creative designer. It requires a combination of sketching and drawing, graphics design skills, layout skills, sewing and knowledge about the Industry of Fashion, and most importantly the right attitude towards work, the creative passion, perseverance and patience.

Decide which Field of Design you are most interested. But there are also people who find it hard to decide which way to go, that is why experts suggests in order to identify your direction you need to start picking up some things that you enjoy most. Gather those things and try to build up a foundation of Likes to generate happiness and Love then sooner you will just discover that it is not hard after all. Everything is just waiting for the right time.

  19. Yes it is true that there are people who are already gifted with design skills and some were born to be creative designers, others may have developed their creative skills, and most are acquired from school, from mentors and others may have learned it by themselves because of their interest and enthusiasm with creative design.

Explore the world and learn beyond creative design. Get involved with the fashion industry and understand what consumer wants and try to see things from their perspective so you can develop techniques in order to meet demands of the market.

  20. Master your market by knowing your customer. Creative marketing is a skill every fashion designer must possess. Know what attracts your costumer and their capacity to pay. Know their lifestyle, where they like to shop, how they like to shop. And if you have done creative marketing, you should have a solid understanding of how you could work out with your customers' needs.

Keep an eye on what other designers are up to. Know what they do and their line of interest. What inspires them and try to experience it in your own way so you could develop with yourself a deeper understanding of how the fashion industry works and what will work for you and staying competitive.

  21. Lastly, assemble your own portfolio with your designs, as it is your chance to market yourself. That portfolio should display your best work, and highlight your creative passion and design skills.

As you go along with your creative design venture, keep in mind that you need to stick with your goal because designing is not about being creative today but it’s a lifelong Journey towards perfection.
